Datamars RFID identification products and reunification platform technologies are used by veterinarians, animal shelters, charitable organisations, customs and health organisations around the world to help care for and reunify lost pets with their human families and help control the spread of infectious diseases.

An insight to the role

Reporting to the VP of the global Pet business, this is a rare opportunity for a driven, versatile professional to lead cross-functional teams in delivering continued market growth and outstanding customer outcomes.

• Take the lead in driving product revenues through direct and distribution relationships in the pet marketplace – develop impactful and sustainable customer relationships.
• Understand customer use cases, product needs, competitive threats and help prioritize feature enhancements, sales strategies and new product development.
• Financial management of the US Pet ID P&L, business analytics and reporting – understanding and utilizing the data across all facets of the business to enhance overall performance and strategic direction.
• Interact, build relationships and work cohesively with internal cross functional global teams.
• Continue a team culture of collaboration and great team spirit - support, develop, guide and manage 5 direct reports, plus 5 indirect – recognize and celebrate the wins.
• Oversee Woburn based office including sales, marketing, service and other operational based resources and functions, including call center management, email support, trade show strategy, sales team performance, E-Commerce strategy and fulfilment.
• Attend key tradeshows in the US (3-4 each year) – travel approximately 10% of the time including occasional travel to Datamars HQ in Switzerland.
• Liaise with corporate logistics team to ensure all North American Pet products are accurately forecasted, stocked and delivered.
• Continuous improvement focus, enabling ways to modernize the operations and increase efficiencies, productivity and outcomes.

• A genuine interest in the Pet Tech sector is valued, and while not essential, exposure to technical products—particularly those involving networking, IoT, or GPS tracking—would be helpful. Familiarity with ecommerce is also a plus.
• You’re energetic, organized, and analytical, with strong financial acumen and an understanding of project management methodologies.
