Your Impact

As an Accounting Manager at Personify, you will be a key strategic partner to the Controller, and will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing payroll and procurement processes, and supporting various audits. You will have the autonomy to contribute to the development of our finance practices and be empowered to optimize and execute at a high level. This role manages company fiscal functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) with frequent, direct interaction with senior management.

Here’s How You Will Make a Significant Impact

  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage the billing function (A/R & subscriptions), accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processes.
  • Month-End Close: Conduct the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and support annual financial audits, tax filings, and various other audits (e.g., financial, tax, workers comp).
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in tax compliance and filings
  • Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Sales, Support, RevOps, and other departments to develop effective processes and customer engagement standards.
  • Assisting with the budget process and month-end department reviews with the Finance Manager
  • Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed to drive revenue and cost efficiencies.
  • Train, develop and grow team by providing ongoing coaching, mentorship and performance feedback

What You Bring

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • Big 4 experience highly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 1 year in a managerial role
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and CPA highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software tools (NetSuite preferred)
  • Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, federal and state financial regulations, and accounting principles
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to data accuracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond to co-workers in a courteous and timely manner
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment
