Position Overview

The Front Desk / Check-In Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a crucial role in ensuring the office runs smoothly. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail. The candidate must be available to work full-time, including Saturdays.

Patient Interaction

  • Greet and welcome patients with a warm, friendly demeanor.
  • Check patients in and verify their information, including insurance and contact details.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Manage and confirm appointments.
  • Ensure an efficient and organized schedule to optimize provider productivity.
  • Handle cancellations, reschedules, and waitlist patients promptly.

Insurance & Billing Support

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in.
  • Provide basic information about treatment plans and payment options.

General Administrative Duties

  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
  • Communicate effectively with the back office to ensure seamless patient flow.

Experience

  • Dental experience required (1yr minimum).
  • Dentrix Enterprise knowledge is a plus.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and patient-focused personality.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
