We are seeking a Team Lead for our Epic - Patient Engagement team.
The Team Lead - Patient Engagement will lead a dynamic team focused on expanding and enhancing Epic software throughout Montefiore Health System. Responsibilities include hands-on participation and oversight of workflow analysis, data collection, system design, and technical troubleshooting associated with Epic solutions. The Team Lead will prepare detailed requirement specifications, provide technical expertise in identifying and evaluating system enhancements, and manage the overall design, build, testing, installation, and maintenance of Epic applications. The Team lead will partner with the manager to execute responsibilities below.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee and delegate tasks, guiding team members in the execution of responsibilities.
Provide performance management feedback and identify training needs for team members.
Participate in staffing decisions, including promotions and hiring.
Lead project planning activities, clearly defining project scope, objectives, resource needs, and priorities.
Proactively identify, communicate, and manage project risks and issues.
Provide high-level client service by resolving escalated incidents through advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and vendor collaboration.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure system efficiency, adherence to standards, and operational feasibility.
Maintain expertise in industry best practices, emerging technologies, and business trends to effectively advise management and team members.
Provide 24 x 7 remote on-call support on a rotating schedule, and as-needed on-site support within Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and affiliates.

Requirements include:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Epic certification in at least one of the following modules: Epic Ambulatory, Epic ClinDoc, Epic MyChart (if not certified upon hire, MyChart certification is required within 3 months).
Experience in Epic application implementation, configuration, go-live support, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including team coordination, delegation, performance management, and mentoring. Must have at least two years of experience directly supervising staff, providing coaching and performance feedback, and overseeing team development in a healthcare IT or related setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective technical documentation abilities.
Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient desktop skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working directly with clinical and business end users.

Preferred:

Experience with Epic Secure Chat implementation and support.
Technical skills related to programming or other relevant IT areas.
Experience in Telehealth and mobile patient engagement solutions.

MEETING ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
