This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in C#, Angular to join our technology team supporting First Citizens Wealth. The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide technical guidance, estimation of efforts, understanding and deciding upon the optimal technology solution to achieve the desired business needs, day to day application support, should be able to navigate differing levels of gray/unknowns, and have excellent communication skills with other IT management levels, individual contributors, and business stakeholders. They must be able to move at a rapid rate of execution to deliver requests and take advantage of any opportunities as they present themselves and navigate through any resource constraints. As a Senior Software Engineer Developer, primary responsibility will be towards the development and support of applications that support the Wealth Management business function. This role will be responsible for all software aspects within the team including research, design, development, testing and supporting them.

Responsibilities

    • Ability to drive change through collaboration, influence, and demonstration of POCs.
    • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and best practices to the solution design process and to other team members.
    • Responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, Code review, integration testing, deployment, documentation and maintenance.
    • Establish and enforce quality standards in designing software architectures and principles.
    • Focus on scalability, maintainability, testability, security, and performance.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
    • Coordinate and assist with troubleshooting of code defects, data errors and configuration problems to determine the origin of application error
    • Working closely with Architects, Product Managers & Analysts to execute on the business requirements
    • Learning new things and go above and beyond the call of duty
    • Always working to improve yourself and constructively support the team around you

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Banking or financial industry experience including secure software development practices preferred.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on the banking domain
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft tech stack including .Net Framework, C#, Core Service, and RESTful services.
  • Proficient in building modern web applications using Angular and related web technologies
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices design, and service-oriented architecture
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as SQL DB, and ETL development and data integration strategies
  • Experience with various architecture patterns and styles (ex: micro-frontend, microservices, event driven, service oriented & serverless)
  • Experience in Agile principles
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience working with low code software tools like Appian will be a plus

The base pay for this position is generally between $115,000 and $140,000.
