SUMMARY

Provides technical and functional support to application users of the PeopleSoft Human Resources and Financials systems. Maintains logical access permissions for system users. Develops, tests, and implements application, updates, reports, fixes and system enhancements. Trains client areas on the usage of the application and reporting tools.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides technical and functional support for PeopleSoft Human Resources and Financials modules. Identifies cause of system issues, provides resolution, and prevents reoccurrence. Researched and deploys vendor delivered system functionality. Uses PeopleSoft PeopleTools coding languages to build improved system functionality, processes, and pages based on business area requirements. Develops and updates nVision Reports, SQR, and BI Publisher reports based on business needs. Designs, creates, supports, and assigns security roles and permissions for all aspects of the PeopleSoft Human Resources and Financials systems. Tracks and completes system security changes based on requests. Answers questions and assists application users in understanding and processing transactions in the PeopleSoft Human Resources and Financials systems. Documents business requirements for process/report changes and enhancements. Creates and updates system and process documentation. Performs regular reviews of scheduled processes and system security setup.

Design

Maintain user roles and permissions

Document system requirements for business information systems

Participate in database design and implementation

Translate business area requirements into preliminary functional design specifications
Development

Identify/solve technical problems applying established data processing techniques

Provide knowledge of file structure, access methods, and relationships/integration

Provide knowledge of utilities, tools, search methods, and I/O processes

Demonstrates proficiency in SQL and report writing tools

Perform coding as required with oversight from team leaders

Create and maintain documentation relating to assigned system development tasks
Analysis

Outline test strategy in accordance with standards

Perform and manage integration testing

Create and execute automated testing scripts

Identify and resolve discrepancies, problems, and weaknesses in the system

Demonstrates an awareness of how the application impacts the business areas

Technical

Ensure documentation of system and programs is current and accurate

Coordinate activities between business areas and application support team

Ensure that system meets design specifications

Demonstrate an understanding of the business area functions outside the computerized areas

Trains users on system, demonstrating specific functions and capabilities

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science, is required. Equivalent position-related experience may be considered.
  • Experience writing SQL is required.
  • One (1) year of technical application development and support experience is preferred.
  • Experience using the PeopleSoft Application(s) or other ERP system is preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills.


Hybrid

Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
