Senior ETL SSIS Developer
100% Remote. We are looking for an experienced Senior ETL SSIS Developer to join our team and contribute to critical enhancements of the Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT) System. This role will focus on developing and optimizing ETL solutions using Microsoft SSIS, with data sourced from Teradata, SQL Server, and CSV files.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data integration and must possess a solid understanding of HL7 standards and HIPAA compliance due to the nature of the data involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance robust SSIS packages for ETL processes.
- Extract and transform data from multiple sources, including CSV files, EDW (Teradata), and SQL Server.
- Ensure high data quality, consistency, and performance across all ETL workflows.
- Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Apply HIPAA best practices and ensure secure handling of PHI (Protected Health Information). Work with HL7 standards for data processing within healthcare systems.
- Troubleshoot ETL issues and optimize performance across jobs and pipelines.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and configurations for future support and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8 years of experience with SQL Server, including at least 4 years of dedicated SSIS development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL and SQL Server.
- Proven expertise in handling CSV data sources (data ingestion, validation, transformation).
- Solid experience working with healthcare data, including HL7 messaging standards and HIPAA compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts and enterprise-level data environments.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize ETL processes.
- Experience working with or supporting state agencies is highly preferred.
- Experience working with project teams in an Agile or Scrum environment
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
