Responsibilities
- Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) studies using AutoForm Simulation Software
- Create concept processes for parts within cost & quality targets
- Collaborate with vendors on new die builds - Review simulation, Die Process, Die Design, Manufacturing, Buyoff & Homeline
- Works with materials team on planning for new programs and addressing quality investigations
- Works with vendors to ensure all targets, including quality and performance, are achieved prior to die shipping
- Manage project schedules, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure all necessary activities are in place to meet deadlines
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams during product development
Requirements
- Proficient in Design for manufacturing (DFM) Studies including Class A Panels, minimum 5 years experience or equivalent experience
- Understanding of stamping processes, design & build is required
- Understanding of GD&T & BIW assembly processes
- Demonstrates leadership, teamwork & communication skills
- Knowledge of production & quality control procedures
- Strong time management skills
- Understands material properties for steel & aluminum, experience with stainless steel preferred
- Able to work with multiple teams & establish / maintain supplier relationships & performance

$80,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
