Senior Financial Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst will assist in the company?s financial reporting functions across several business units, with responsibility for analysis, modeling and scheduling, and report preparation, in the following areas:
- Internal Reporting ? Assist with internal reporting and complex analysis while maintaining a high level of accuracy and understanding of the business.
- Accounting & Business Research ? Assist with researching and resolving accounting and business issues.
- Leadership ? Fostering teamwork between corporate accounting and operational accounting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Decision Support:
- Develop enhanced financial models and schedules to facilitate management review, and improve the timeliness, quality, and usefulness of applicable information for planning and strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual presentation packages and communication materials for management use.
- Steward accuracy and implement high proficiency in HFM systems reporting.
- Researches and improves FP&A processes in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, capital expenditure, and other business requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to Houston and Area personnel as needed.
Financial Analysis:
- Coordinate, analyze and prepare financial schedules used for decision-making and evaluation of the business.
- Interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial variances to compose proper summary write-ups.
- Ability to construct financial models to study business findings and performance.
Other:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations.
- Assist in special projects, and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
- Analytically driven to manage large datasets.
- Overtime will be necessary during monthly closings, year-end reporting, audit, and for special projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or business or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Leadership skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master?s Degree.
- Previous working experience in the drilling industry or with an oil-related service company.

- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
