  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Tableau, a solid understanding of HL7 standards, and HIPAA compliance. This role will be instrumental in building dashboards and reports that transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders, including technical teams, clinicians, and government leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
  • Integrate and visualize data from diverse sources, including CSV files, SQL Server, EDWs, and healthcare-specific formats such as HL7.
  • Ensure all data handling and reporting activities comply with HIPAA regulations and safeguard PHI (Protected Health Information).
  • Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
  • Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and accessibility.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting needs from state agency partners or healthcare organizations.
  • Maintain technical documentation for data sources, dashboard logic, and update schedules.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in data visualization and reporting, with 3+ years focused on Tableau development.
  • Proven ability to build and optimize complex Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Teradata).
  • Familiarity with HL7 messaging standards and how they are represented and used in reporting.
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and secure handling of healthcare data/PHI.
  • Experience working with project teams in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • Experience working with or supporting state agencies is highly preferred.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
