Considerable knowledge of principles and methods of administrative and clerical procedures and systems,
such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, workflow management, answering
and fonrvarding telephone calls, and other office procedures and terminology. Must have exceptional
administrative, organizational, and people skills and the ability to perform confidential and administrative
duties with the responsibility for managing the workflow of the Administrator's office and coordinating/acting
as liaison with both the Facility and the Central Office, families, residents and staff. Knowledge of business
and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling,
leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must have knowledge
of quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective delivery of services. Excellent
knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer
needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words,
rules of composition, and grammar. Ability to carry out the responsibilities of the position. Reads, writes,
and communicates effectively with others. Ability to maintain a tactful, orderly working relationship with
others. Knowledge of principles and process for providing supervision, to include the ability to instruct and
develop staff, ability to execute work quality control inspections, and ability to plan and direct the work of
subordinate staff. Possess proficient knowledge of computer software and have the ability to use the
computer.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive experience in administrative, secretarial, organization, office management, timekeeping, word processing, automated data systems and quantitative skills as well as exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Must have ability to coordinate and organize workflow, compile information for reports, work independently, apply independent judgment and discretion when dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters.
High school graduate with related experience
Experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting is preferred.
VCO or VCA preferred.
