  • Works with the ERP system to generate bills of materials, routings, work instructions, and other product related documentation.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Designs new fixtures and works with the tool room to get them made.
  • Implements and carryout Engineering Change Orders
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs equipment and layout of equipment in workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Uses a voltmeter and related test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • Understands basic Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Supports product quality by performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Writes manufacturing tests and quality audit procedures.
