Examinetics is hiring a JavaScript Software Engineer to join our expanding team! This full time role is based in office M-F at our Overland Park location and we are open to candidates who live either in the Kansas City Metro or are willing and able to relocate.
This role is designed for a highly skilled, full stack, JavaScript Engineer who will serve as the sole specialist for our React front-end and Node.js back-end applications. You will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of mobile application development-from initial concept and design through development, testing, and deployment. Beyond maintaining existing applications, you will have the opportunity to build innovative new apps, including both internal business tools and customer-facing products that drive our future offerings. This position requires strong expertise in React, Node.js, Redux, MongoDB, and familiarity with AWS.

This role is designed for a highly skilled, full stack, JavaScript Engineer who will serve as the sole specialist for our React front-end and Node.js back-end applications. - $80,000-$110,000 base salary + bonus opportunity

Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing React/Node.js applications with a strong focus on reliability and user experience.
- Develop new web applications and features following an Agile methodology, including participation in daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
- Integrate and support APIs for front-end applications, serverless Lambda functions, and Express-based services hosted on AWS EC2 and Vercel.
- Handle light DevOps tasks, including creating and configuring AWS resources (EC2, Lambda, etc.) with support from IT management and Infrastructure teams.
- Ensure robust testing in partnership with QA Analysts, including writing unit tests and coordinating user acceptance testing.
- Support database operations, working closely with the DBA team for MSSQL and MongoDB performance and schema considerations.
Job Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of work experience in a similar role
- 2+ years of work experience in JavaScript with extensive experience using React, Redux, and Node.js
- Strong understanding of Express.js, serverless AWS Lambda functions, and RESTful API design.
- Solid experience with MongoDB, familiarity with MSSQL is a plus; willingness to coordinate with a DBA for performance and schema design.
- Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, Lambda, etc.) and the ability to handle light DevOps tasks.
- Experience with Vercel preferred
- Ability to ensure resilient, customer-facing applications with many of concurrent users.
- Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., SOC2, HITRUST) preferred

- Ability to learn new skills, technology or frameworks as required to help the team or other business units accomplish their goals.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment where frequent demos for users and stakeholders provide essential feedback for development.
