Description

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

  • Qualifications:

1.1. High School or equivalent work-related experience.

1.2. Ability to use hands to clean, and lift objects to chest height.

1.3. Must be able to work with others, with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

1.4. Must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time and weekends when needed.

1.5. Ability to communicate clearly using company provided radio.

1.6. Experience using cleaning solutions.

  • Responsibilities:

2.1. Clean all building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

2.2. Gather and empty trash.

2.3. Service, clean, and replenish supplies in restrooms.

2.4. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

2.5. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

2.6. Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

2.7. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.

2.8. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

2.9. Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.

2.10. Prevent infestation of insects and rodents

2.11. Periodic deep cleaning/waxing/buffing/stripping of floors as assigned by supervisor.

2.12. Ensure an efficient use of the cleaning supplies.

2.13. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

2.14. Monitor manual and/or automated control access gates/doors for entry or exit.

2.15. Ensure all visitors, delivery drivers, customers, and employees have proper PPE before allowed access on company property.

2.16. Ensure drivers of all trucks, truck tractor semi-trailer combinations and all truck tractors check in before entering the facility.

2.17. Use courteous communication when giving instructions to visitors and guest at all access points.

2.18. Randomly count pipe and reject material prior to trucks leaving the facility (Outbound) for verification of accuracy, also responsible for verification of stock leaving the premises.

2.19. Conduct visual vehicle inspections at random (Spot checks), noting findings (i.e. Tool box, truck bed, trunk, and interior inspections). If anyone denies a search, Security is to immediately notify an HSE Department Representative, and deny entry/exit of the facility. Reference HSE-10-WI20 Vehicle Usage Procedure.

2.20. Monitor weather software for proactive detection to eliminate weather accidents.

2.21. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

  • Activities:

3.1. Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.

3.2. Notify managers for the need of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

3.3. Notify HSE Department of any weather-related warning as per Borusan Mannesmann Procedures.

3.4. Inform HSE Department with any issue revolving anyone not cleared to enter the facility

3.5. Other duties as assigned.

4.1. This position has the authority to stop work at any time that is deemed necessary for reasons of safety.
