
Automotive Mechanic
- Must troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment, completing preventative maintenance schedules in a timely and accurate manner to ensure the equipment is operating at peak performance to meet the quality objectives of the golf course.
- Maintains accurate inventory on parts, supplies, tools and maintains equipment within planned financial budgets.
- Maintains an effective and cooperative working relationship with staff members and supervisors.
- Performs work in a professional manner and exercises tack and diplomacy with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Follows all established shop policies, fire, safety, and housekeeping standards, ensuring a lean, safe work environment. Must show willingness and ability to learn on the job.

Qualifying Experience:
- Applicant must have experience troubleshooting and repairing gas and diesel engines and experience working with electrical,
- hydraulic, and mechanical equipment systems.
- Must have experience in the use of bearing pullers, drill press, test equipment and other tools common to trade.
- Applicant must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Applicant must have experience reading and interpreting manufacturer's operating and/or maintenance manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret regulations, policies, OI's, etc .; ability to train co-workers; and ability to schedule preventative maintenance on equipment
- without disrupting work on the golf course.
- Manufacturer's equipment service schools (i.e. Toro, Jacobson, Cushman, etc.), and technical training (i.e. reel spin grinding) is desirable.
- Applicant must possess a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a government motor vehicle operator permit.
- Requires good physical condition to work in various tiring and straining positions.
- Usually works in noisy area, and is exposed to grease, dirt, and fumes. Subject to cuts, burns, shocks, strains, and skin irritations from solvents, lube, and fuels.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Subject to uncommon tour of duty.
- Local Files Check (LFC) and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are required.

Education
