Major responsibilities shall include and not limit to the following:
- Be responsible for strengthening and standardizing manufacturing engineering capabilities and processes (bill of process) across our global footprint and implement best practices across all regions.
- Lead the Global ME Center and the Regional ME organizations
- Develop and execute a global manufacturing engineering strategy to optimize performance, efficiency, and automation across all regions.
- Rapidly strengthen manufacturing engineering capabilities e.g. stamping, moulding, automation.
- Lead the implementation of advanced automation technologies to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure consistency in processes, tools, and methodologies across all locations, driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead NPI from RFQ, DFM, Tooling, Automation to Industrialization
- Work closely with Sales, Product Development, operations, and other stakeholders to support the concept of “Build to Specs” and Design-In, also enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global manufacturing engineering team, ensuring knowledge transfer and skills development.
- Optimize stamping and moulding operations, improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and drive cost reductions.
Requirement:
- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering leadership within the automotive industry.
- Proven track record of building and transforming global manufacturing engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in stamping, moulding, and automation technologies.
- Experience managing multi-regional teams with a focus on emerging markets.
- Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma will be a plus.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and execution skills.
- Technical background in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred).
- Willingness to travel globally as needed.
