EMS Product Owner/Manager Grid-Scale Energy Storage Systems
We are seeking a dynamic EMS Product Owner/Manager to drive the development of advanced control software for grid-scale energy storage systems. In this role, you ll lead cross-functional agile teams, ensure compliance with grid codes and standards, and align product development with customer needs and market demands.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with agile development teams to drive efficient and high-quality product delivery.
Translate customer requirements (CRs) and applicable standards into actionable development goals, balancing cost and development cycle time.
Analyze CRs, grid compliance protocols, and cybersecurity standards to inform the product roadmap and identify new project opportunities.
Convert requirements into detailed user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and validate deliverables for release readiness.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of all technical and commercial product documentation in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Support the sales and product management teams with technical demos, presentations, and customer engagements.
Lead the implementation of multi-generational product plans by identifying evolving market needs and competitive trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of engineering experience in utility-scale electrical power systems.
2+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile development environment.
Solid understanding of grid-following and grid-forming control applications.
Familiarity with ISO and transmission operator technical requirements.
In-depth knowledge of grid interconnection agreements and compliance processes.
Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex engineering problems.
Experience reviewing contracts and technical documentation for compliance and feasibility.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
