Job Description
The PBX Operator provides direction and assistance to callers and guests through the use of PBX Panel, Alpha Mate, Public Address and Meditech.
PROVIDES DIRECTION AND ASSISTANCE TO CALLERS AND GUESTS: Effectively operates PBX Panel, Alpha Mate, Public Address and Meditech Promptly and properly answers, directs or parks calls and clearly communicate visiting hours and rules Provides language line, TTY and related equipment upon request Effectively uses overhead paging system, knowing the appropriate Code Blue procedure Locates patients in Meditech while still protecting patient confidentiality Correctly recognizes and provides assistance regarding expired patients Assists guests seeking information regarding ASU, MSICU, and Cath patients

- Strong Verbal Communications Skills, Basic Computer Skills, Multi Line Telephone Operational Skills, Typing, Strong Customer Services Skills
