Qualifications

GS 11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. I have knowledge of provisioning, allowance development, re-procurement, packing, storage, handling and transportation processes. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing intense knowledge of the practical operations of all aspects of the system so they may advise all stakeholders (internal and external) regarding key data elements on applicable topics within the applicable Working Groups; 2) Receiving and assessing change recommendations from personnel or other activities and coordinating/performing implementation of accepted changes; 3) Identifying and resolving of a wide variety of critical/difficult technical problems/issues related to Demilitarization (DEMIL) and Control Item Identification Code (CIIC); 4) Forecasting changes in the functional area resulting from changes to programs, policies or procedures.

GS 12: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. I have the knowledge of integrating Demilitarization (DEMIL) and Control Item Identification Code (CIIC) requirements into daily work within WSS in the areas of provisioning, allowance development, re-procurement, packing, storage, handling and transportation. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding the technical features of assigned items and their use within the system, and understanding the relationship of such specialized data elements and their impact on financing, provisioning, procurement, transportation, storage, disposal, and maintenance and property utilization; 2) Demonstrating considerable experience in this focused area of the technical management of weapon systems and related parts; 3) Managing processes to prevent the mishandling of classified managed material within the DOD supply system as well as other service providers on the proper assignment of Physical Security, Pilferage, and Demilitarization (DEMIL) coding; 4) Providing expert functional guidance/consultation/recommendations to higher level management, team leaders, team members, specialists from other organizations/activities, etc. concerning the identification and resolution of a wide variety of critical/difficult technical problems/issues related to DEMIL and Control Item Identification Code (CIIC).
