Position Summary:

The Director of Sales – Dedicated Transportation is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and managing client relationships within assigned territories. This leadership role is well-suited for individuals with a proven background in transportation sales, business development, and strategic client engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively prospect and generate new business leads through marketing initiatives and outreach.
  • Develop tailored transportation solutions and proposals based on client needs and operational capabilities.
  • Manage and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, contacts, and sales pipelines.
  • Strengthen client relationships through consistent communication and regular on-site meetings.
  • Lead or support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and bid evaluations.
  • Partner with internal teams—operations, pricing, accounting, and customer service—to ensure client satisfaction and smooth service delivery.
  • Present solutions and proposals to prospective clients in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Monitor trends and developments within the logistics and transportation sector.
  • Collaborate with leadership and colleagues to refine sales strategies and share best practices.
  • Travel as necessary to support sales efforts and client engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics sales (experience with truckload and dedicated services preferred).
  • Deep understanding of dedicated fleet operations and logistics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Strong relationship management and customer service capabilities.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to develop and present custom solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and CRM platforms.
  • Flexible and adaptable work style to meet business and client demands.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Background in sales strategy, lead generation, or marketing is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
