Job Title: Radio Frequency Engineer

Working Model: Hybrid (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Role Overview: As a Radio Frequency Engineer, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to design and implement new builds, modifications, and optimizations for in-building and venue projects. Your goal is to ensure timely delivery, adherence to specifications, and budget compliance. You will coordinate with Real Estate, In-Building/Venue PMO, System Performance, Network Assurance, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design new solutions, improvements, and capacity upgrades to meet KPI targets for venues and in-building projects.
  • Evaluate service performance trends and identify root causes of impacted services using scripting and databases.
  • Provide software technical analysis and troubleshooting to markets and regions as needed.
  • Issue search areas, conduct candidate assessments, and provide approvals.
  • Collaborate with System Performance to meet required performance objectives.
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, drive issues to resolution, and proactively monitor performance, conducting monthly deep dives with System Performance.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry, specifically in RF Design & Optimization for in-building and venues.
  • Minimum of level 2 Certification in iBwave.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and practice, LTE/VoLTE, and 5G Technology.
  • Experience with 5G Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB), 5G Nationwide (NW), and LTE.
  • Proficiency with mapping software and propagation modeling software, particularly Atoll.
  • Familiarity with various RF tools such as TrueCall and Aiwave.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license.

Desired Skills:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience with PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt seamlessly to a dynamic, changing business environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and project planning skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across functions.
