Hiring for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter in Berlin!

Job Description

The Mechanical Designer/Drafter will create documentation in support of production. This candidate will take drawings from the Pratt Whitney, GE, Rolls Royce, or Honeywell manuals and make operation sheets for production. This person must be proficient with GD&T, blueprints, and manuals. The operation sheets include CAD models, assembly detail drawings, component detail drawings, work instructions, and production tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Create component drawings.
  • Design fixtures and tooling as required.
  • Create assembly drawings.
  • Work with outside suppliers.
  • Perform concept validation.
  • Support production facilities.
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Essential Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or certificate in CAD.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX.
  • Proficient in GD&T.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in design, drafting, CAD, mechanical engineering, mechanical design, 3D modeling, and process documentation.
  • Experience with Unigraphics NX or Siemens NX from school or job experience.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a very clean manufacturing floor and updated office spaces with ample windows that look onto the manufacturing floor. The core hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility in start/stop times. The company offers excellent benefits including 6 paid holidays, 1 week PTO, 100% company-paid medical benefits, full dental and competitive vision coverage, a $25K life insurance policy, short-term disability, a 2.5% match 401K, and up to 4 weeks of PTO with tenure. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
