Vega is Hiring! Big Data Engineer for a remote based position with our direct client. Seeking candidates with 10 years Experience leading database design and ETL development. Experience in leading data engineering and cross functional teams to implement scalable and fine tuned ETL/ELT solutions (batch and streaming) for optimal performance. Experience developing and updating ETL/ELT scripts.

Hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL development in Hadoop and AWS ecosystem, relational database layout, development, data modeling.

Job Requirement

  • 7+ years hands on experience as a Big Data Engineer in Hadoop and AWS ecosystem in Healthcare industry; preferably BCBS. Hands on experience with developing application for batch data loads and data streaming using technologies using Cloudera/Hadoop and/or AWS technologies in Healthcare industry.
  • Expert in at least one programming language (i.e., SQL, NoSQL, Python).
  • Knowledge of multiple database technologies - structured and un-structured
    Ability to quick learn new technology and take direction.
  • Strong customer service orientation.,
  • Provide direction to and lead technical teams
  • Provide direction and lead teams on Big Data and AWS technologies.
  • Requires strong organizational with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    Licenses/Certifications
    AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty (Required) Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop (CCDH) ((Required)
    OCP Java SE 6 Programmer Certification (Good to have)
