Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and high motivated software engineer for the NetApp Cloud Replication team. You will be working as part of an exceptionally talented & dynamic team that designs and develops enterprise class, cutting edge Cloud Replication software running on NetApp's latest storage platforms.
As part of the NetApp Research and Development function, the overall focus of the team is on competitive market and customer requirements, supportability, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. Software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development.
This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, a quick learner and driven to produce results.
Essential Functions
The target salary range for this position is 105,995 - 157,740 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. - Responsible for providing support in development and testing activities

- Debugging
- Performance Analysis
- Participate in technical discussions within the team or other groups within the Business Unit associated with specified projects
- Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals
- Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
- Familiarity of basic concepts of computer architecture, operating systems, algorithms and data structures
- Proficient in software development with C/C++ in LINUX/UNIX environments
- Follow standard engineering principles and practice
- Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
- Responsible for a mix of structured and unstructured tasks
- Apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems
- May work with teams across the company in problem solving and design efforts
- Interact primarily with direct manager and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions within the Business Unit as required
- General direction is provided on routine work and detailed direction is provided on new projects and assignments. There will be on-going reviews of activities and priorities
- Participate as an important contributor to team projects
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years of experience; a Master’s Degree; or equivalent experience is required.
