Assists in the program operation of a comprehensive tours and entertaining program. Special emphasis is on programs for family members and special groups such as retirees, singles, and private organizations. Greets customers and assists in finding appropriate information for same. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: Plans, organizes, and implements tours to educational, historical, shopping and informational places of interest for groups, clubs, and individuals, both self-directed and guide conducted. Assists' individuals with special interests to develop personalized tours; leads tours and entertainment programs and assists families with services. Gathers all information about areas and sites to be visited. Evaluates customer demand and makes decisions as to the specific needs of groups and clientele. Recommends new programming to include the types of trips and the resources required. Maintains informational brochures and admission vouchers for entertainment attractions, including theme parks, concerts and special events, in the local area, southeastern United States, and other popular areas. Collects fees and charges and protects funds and assets in accordance with current directives. Sells airline tickets and cruise packages and makes car rental and hotel reservations using the Turbo Sabre system. Ships packages utilizing United Parcel Services computer system. Decorates office to reflect program themes and holidays. Reports facility maintenance requirements to custodian and assists in maintaining facility to ensure customer satisfaction. Works with other staff members, volunteers, and other individuals to ensure program success.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience relating to the operation of a tours and entertainment program and with group activities and events is desirable. Experience in clerical or office work of any kind is desirable. Computer experience with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel or related software and familiarity with the internet is required. Must have ability to resolve common mathematical problems and make change when receiving payment from customers. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Position of trust. Must satisfactorily complete and Installation Records Check (IRC), National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must successfully pas a pre-employment physical. Works uncommon tour of duty. This is a drug testing position (TOP) under the Air Force Civilian drug testing program. Must pass a drug test as a condition of employment. Incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Education
