Partner with cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and Microsoft Azure to shape the future of public cloud services for finance industry

Key responsibilities would include:

• Understand and validate the Innovation Center environment feature requirements with the Innovation Center program management team and vendor for each specific POC (integration requirements, data requirements, etc.)
• Innovation Center technical lead who will oversee cloud environment implementation and provide on-going input and guidance
• Ensure Innovation Center environments adhere to risk and compliance guidelines for lab environment
• Work with partner to open firewalls for accessing the partner provided cloud desktop from the NDS
• Design, develop and manage services in public cloud for the Innovation Center
• Architect safe, resilient and highly-available distributed services that meet the Innovation Center requirements
• Write technical specifications, work with several teams and manage technical dependencies and drive design meetings with various stakeholders for consensus
• Collaborate with business software engineering teams on solving business problems via the architecture and engineering of cloud native applications
• Engage with the larger Core Engineering organization to create and deliver usable, safe cloud native engineering patterns with associated guardrails and operational practices for the Innovation Center

• Strong technical ability, willingness to learn and evolve your skills with advances in technology
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and testing software in one or more of Java, JavaScript, Python, or golang; open to using and learning multiple languages
• Expertise with Linux, containers, system security and automation with scripting languages
• Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate team members and manage projects
• Experience architecting, designing, administering, or developing applications in Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both written and orally, as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse technology teams
• Ability to reason about performance, security, and process interactions in complex distributed systems
• Ability to understand and effectively debug both new and existing solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience of software development lifecycle and infrastructure-as-code tooling, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, or Kubernetes
• Experience with security, isolation and multi-tenant design of distributed cloud services
• Familiarity with software artifact and container image lifecycle management and governance
• Understanding of RESTful API design best practices and experience in developing them
• Technical leadership experience of 2+ years
• Familiarity with cloud network architectures and the integration with hybrid cloud networking
• Experience with serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions
• Experience with infrastructure and configuration as code solutions, including Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-init

Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required
