
Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Summary:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be relied upon to lead implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platform. You will be working with the DevOps team to ensure system performance, reliability, security, and availability of the company's development, quality assurance, and production infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Build required infrastructure to support the company s growing enterprise cloud offerings. Work with developers to understand how to right size the infrastructure/network with microservices for Product and Pre-Production environments on AWS.
- Utilize proven skills and knowledge to provide troubleshooting and timely resolution of application, performance, systems, and infrastructure incidents.
- Routine Sys Admin and DB Admin duties to support a lively and fast paced group with agile release.
- Manage and operate build and release CI /CD process.
- Run and optimize Data Warehouse systems that deliver business intelligence and customer insight.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call incident escalation rotations, and drive root cause analysis of major issues.
- Maintain and extend strong relationships across globally distributed product management, product development, DevOps, and IT teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Good understanding of current DevOps technology trends in the SaaS industry.
- 4+ year s systems administration experience managing enterprise Unix/Linux environments. Strong core Linux OS skills, shell scripting, python scripting.
- 3+ years in a 24x7 production operations role supporting large scale, highly available applications.
- 3+ years experience with AWS platform. Expertise in building highly secure cloud services and cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, Route53).
- Expertise in using cloud automation and DevOps tools such as Docker, Terraform, and Ansible. Jenkins and Git are required.
- Experience in monitoring and analytics tools such as Datadog and Splunk.
- Good knowledge of web application stack and associated technology such as Nginx and PHP.
- Strong understanding of Networking concept of TCP/IP, DNS, Certs, Subnets, and VPC.
- Database, MySQL administration skills is a plus.
