SAP MM consultant

SAP MM Initial remote but the resource should be ready to relocate to Baton Rouge, LA within one month upon asked to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the SAP MM module implementation, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Configure and manage Business Partner (BP) settings within the SAP S/4HANA framework, including roles, groupings, and integration with vendor master data.
• Design, develop, and execute functional test plans including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM configuration solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI, SD, PP, and WM) to ensure seamless end-to-end process integration.
• Create and maintain functional documentation including test cases, training materials, and solution design documents.
• Support defect management processes, triaging issues, and ensuring timely resolution during various testing phases.
• Provide post-go-live support and ensure system stabilization and process optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MM module.
• Proven experience with Business Partner (BP) configuration in SAP S/4HANA.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, invoice verification, and source-to-pay cycles.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience in designing test scripts and managing testing cycles.
• Experience in data migration and cutover planning related to vendor and material master data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
• Knowledge of Ariba or SAP Fiori apps for procurement.
• Exposure to Agile delivery environments and tools like JIRA or ALM/QC.
• SAP certification in MM or S/4HANA Logistics is a plus.
