Director of Procurement - Data Centers

The Role:
The Director of Procurement will oversee all aspects of sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and material logistics for large-scale data center development and operations. This is a strategic leadership role that requires deep market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to drive value across a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead procurement strategy for construction, equipment, and services across multiple data center projects.
- Build and manage a high-performance procurement team to support project execution and operations.
- Establish relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Lead negotiations for high-value contracts, including MSAs, long-lead equipment, and construction packages.
- Work cross-functionally with development, construction, legal, and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.
- Implement procurement best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including ESG/sustainability goals.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience in the data center, construction, or infrastructure industries.
- Deep knowledge of mission-critical equipment (generators, switchgear, chillers, etc.) and construction materials.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience in large-scale, complex capital projects.
- Proven ability to lead and scale a procurement organization in a high-growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
