Role Summary
Experienced Electrical Sr. Design Engineer / Lead with 6 to 10 years of experience in Aerospace Electrical system design specifically for First Class & Business class seating.
Qualification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
Dimension of Function
Electrical system installation LRU space allocation, Wire routing, creation/update schematic diagram/Wiring diagram, Installation drawing of First Class & Business class seating design.
Suite Electrical installation, Suite Suite installation, A/C level installation
Knowledge / Experience
- Experience of Electrical system installation LRU space allocation, Wire routing, creation/update schematic diagram/Wiring diagram, Installation drawing of First Class & Business class seating design.
- Better understanding of reading Schematic and wiring diagram
- Preferably Minimum 6 to 10 years experience in Aerospace Electrical system design/Installation.
- Very good knowledge of Boeing standards is compulsory.
- Very good understanding of Cabin interior electrical systems installation & integration.
- Knowledge of Aerospace design standards
- Experience of navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards.
- Knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes.
- Experience of Electrical wiring harness routing and packaging in CATIA V5
- Suite Electrical installation, Suite Suite installation, A/C level installation
- Proficiency in use of various modules of CATIA V5, ENOVIA & Dassault Systems 3DEXPERIENCE is preferable.
- Good Project Management skills to drive the performance KPIs & improvements proactively.
- Basic Knowledge of Sheet Metal bracket design.
- Very good communication and presentation skills
Area of Responsibility
- Review of the high-level concept, block diagram, BOM and detailed design complying to requirements.
- Experience with electrical routing design and installations
- Systems Design Reviews with respective groups prior to 3D harness release.
- Develop harness packaging issues list and drive resolution prior to validation builds.
- Attend daily management meeting with Design leader to prioritize the activity as per Workload.
- Engage and discuss with customer on the requirement compliance and justifications for any deviations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements.
- Responsible for checking and approving systems drawings and documents ensuring compliance to OEM's and Regulatory requirements. (Specifically, Boeing requirements)
- Responsible for producing and maintaining electrical standard and process documentation.
- Selection and application of materials and ensure the successful integration of each design element within the product.
- As a mentor & quality checker, Responsible for quality, design, execution work.
