A Senior Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Specialist in Plano, TX, plays a pivotal role in ensuring that an organization's operations adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. This position involves developing and implementing strategies to manage risks, ensure compliance, and establish robust governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Evaluation: Assess and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and contractual obligations, collaborating with stakeholders and customers across the organization.
  • Policy Development: Establish and maintain governance structures to enhance decision-making and accountability. Update policies and related documents to ensure compliance with laws and regulatory requirements, thereby mitigating potential legal and operational risks.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements, leading to more streamlined and effective governance processes. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness and compliance of policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure appropriate documentation in the form of policies, standards, process narratives, controls, and procedures are created and updated as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in managing compliance, risk, audit processes, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in project management and the ability to lead initiatives that enhance governance structures
  • Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in governance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards
