The Community You’ll Be Caring For
The Nursing Project Manager is a newly created role that will support high-impact, large-scale nursing initiatives across the Central Florida Division. With a focus on improving operational structure and driving outcomes, this role will provide essential project management support for key nursing workforce programs—including the direct hire process and career pathway initiatives for frontline nurses—as well as various clinical initiatives. The Project Manager will ensure timely execution, stakeholder accountability, and streamlined administrative workflows, contributing to the long-term success of nursing strategies across the region.

The Nursing Project Manager is a newly created role that will support high-impact, large-scale nursing initiatives across the Central Florida Division. With a focus on improving operational structure and driving outcomes, this role will provide essential project management support for key nursing workforce programs—including the direct hire process and career pathway initiatives for frontline nurses—as well as various clinical initiatives. The Project Manager will ensure timely execution, stakeholder accountability, and streamlined administrative workflows, contributing to the long-term success of nursing strategies across the region.

- Applies expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques. Works independently within technical area, applying in-depth knowledge of multiple technologies, as appropriate. Acts as a resource and mentor to professionals in their area(s) of technical expertise. Understands architectural issues, and factors them into decisions and recommendations. Familiar with all functions and services of the organization
- Understands customer requirements and their impact on the technical direction of a solution. Can quickly come up to speed on the unit's products, services and basic business processes, and determine the role technology can play to support their success. Anticipates how technology enhancements will affect other business areas. Understands the business impact of different solutions, and can assess the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements and costs.
- Helps customers define requirements, clarify their current and future technology needs, and determine how to best meet their needs including determining the resources required. Analyzes cross-technology and cross platform issues. Evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions. Conceives and implements projects that may require systems integration, small teams and multiple technical platforms.
- Manages moderate sized projects, typically lasting a year or less. Leads the analysis of vendor proposals, evaluation of build versus buy, formulates the project plan, establishes the critical path, coordinates vendors, builds and conducts tests, and tracks project progress. Also selects and directs project teams, and serves as a knowledge base (e.g., on business issues). Works directly with senior users in defining new application requirements, resolving project issues, and developing business strategy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Required
- Master's in a related field or combination of Bachelor's degree and related experience Preferred
- 3 Required in Project Coordination or Project Management experience
- 5 technical experience Preferred
- Knowledge in interrelationship of various divisions and administrations, organization’s mission, its relationship to other institutions if any
- Ability to analyze statistical data and present ideas and recommendations both orally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management staff, private organizations and special interest groups
- High degree of judgment and originality to interpret the laws and regulations and to assist in the development of department and office policies, standard concepts, and administrative procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Knowledge of local and national trends in the industry
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Experience using Power BI for dashboards or data tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Finds creative solutions to workflow and compliance challenges; anticipates issues and resolves them independently.
- Communication: Delivers clear updates, ensures transparency, and builds trust with stakeholders at various levels.
