Role: Network Engineer/Network Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer / Network Architect to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco Routing and Switching, with hands-on experience in network design, data center migration, and Cisco Software-Defined Access. This role will require both strategic architectural thinking and hands-on implementation capabilities, particularly around segmentation and complex network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network solutions with a strong focus on Cisco technologies.
- Lead and execute data center design and migration projects.
- Architect and deploy Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) solutions, ensuring optimal segmentation and policy management.
- Provide expert-level routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions align with business and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including design diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert for network architecture and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, with at least 2+ years in a network architecture or lead role.
- Deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with Cisco SDA, including segmentation strategies.
- Strong understanding of data center network design and migration methodologies.
- Familiarity with network automation, monitoring tools, and security best practices is a plus.
- Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or similar) strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with network security integration and policy enforcement.
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
