Role Description:
The Talend Snowflake Developer will be responsible for systems analysis, design, development, testing, and support of moderately complex technical information system components. This role involves working with ETL processes, database design, data warehousing, and business intelligence reporting, ensuring high-quality and compliant solutions. The candidate will also provide second-line application support and collaborate with business partners to address support requests.
Minimum Requirements:
12+ years of IT experience, including:
3+ years of experience in Talend ETL tool.
7+ years of experience in SQL and Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW).
Hands-on experience with Talend Administration, including managing remote engines, debugging Java/JVM issues, performing upgrades, and working with Talend Management Console.
Strong SQL skills to extract and analyze data from Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Experience in REST API integration using Talend ETL.
Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modeling principles.
Willingness to provide production support, including weekends.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Cloud-based ETL tools (Snowflake, RedShift, etc.).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data profiling and usage analysis.
Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and work effectively in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain system components and services based on specifications.
Prepare detailed system documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
Perform unit, system, and validation testing.
Assist the DBA team with database design and implementation.
Develop ETL batches that meet SLAs for business intelligence reporting.
Plan and conduct ETL unit and development tests, monitoring results and taking corrective actions when necessary.
Implement automation processes to control data access, transformation, and movement while ensuring data availability from source systems.
Provide support for existing systems and technologies, including second-line application support.
Work closely with business partners to analyze and address support requests, including training.
Coordinate with Operations staff on the deployment of applications.
Ensure all activities are performed with quality and compliance standards.
EDUCATION
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
