Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance of Oracle database systems, ensuring high availability and consistent performance of corporate applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c, etc.)
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
  • Perform database tuning and optimization (queries, indexing, etc.)
  • Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability
  • Backup and recovery planning and implementation using RMAN or other tools
  • Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency using scripts (PL/SQL, Shell, Python, etc.)
  • Work closely with development teams to optimize database interactions
  • Perform capacity planning and support database migration projects
  • Provide 24/7 support for critical production environments as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment
  • Strong experience with Oracle 12c/19c, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and performance tuning
  • Experience with backup and recovery procedures using RMAN
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS RDS for Oracle
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with other RDBMS systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) is a plus
