Process Engineer: Reference 2025-R6973
As a process engineer, you continuously improve the manufacturing processes to achieve superior quality, yield, and efficiency. You are a valued expert and resource to operators, engineering, maintenance, quality, management, and production planning team members.
Job function includes:
- Oversee manufacturing processes for new and existing products with defined process controls, ensuring stability and continuous improvement of Materion process capabilities
- Facilitate rapid response to Shop Floor technical issues to ensure product quality is maintained and on schedule
- Collaborate with EH&S to assure safe processes and working conditions
- Apply Six Sigma/LEAN manufacturing principles to product and process development and problem analysis
- Assist key customers (worldwide) with technical issues/opportunities
- Other engineering job duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred
- 2-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a technical manufacturing environment
- Experience in metal casting, physical metallurgy processes, and degreasing of scrap material preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred control charting and statistical analysis
