JOB DETAILS
Team Purpose (Business and Technical Analysis Lead)
To support County in analyzing, strategizing, and implementing compliance with the new legal requirements using existing tools such as Microsoft Purview, and to ensure alignment between policy, process, and technology through a clear, actionable roadmap.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Compliance Strategist will lead the effort to interpret the new legal reporting requirements, assess County s current environment, and define a comprehensive compliance strategy. This role requires skills and experience in E-discovery, Microsoft Purview, information governance, data and reporting compliance, and business/technical analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the new law and translate it into business and technical requirements.
Assess current tools, workflows, policies, and the data governance landscape.
Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders including legal, IT, and compliance teams.
Develop a compliance strategy, design and workflow documents and high-level implementation roadmap.
Identify potential gaps in current use of Microsoft Purview and recommend enhancements.
Work closely with IT and business departments to align priorities.
Draft or contribute to documentation and presentations to leadership.
Provide recommendations on staffing, resources, and technology configurations.
Qualifications:
8+ years in business analysis, compliance, or data governance.
Strong experience with Microsoft Purview, particularly eDiscovery and data classification.
Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting frameworks
Demonstrated ability to define strategic plans in complex environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred: Prior experience with government or public sector environments.
