Technical Software Architect

Location: Boston, MA
Work method: Hybrid (2-3 days weekly)
Contract: 6 months with possibility of extension

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Software Architect (Java/React Full Stack) to play a pivotal role in delivering robust software solutions for our US domestic manufacturing and product development. You will be part of the architecture oversight team, acting as a servant leader to multiple agile teams.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain software architecture frameworks, standards, best practices, and governance processes, ensuring alignment with and influencing technology strategies.

Research, review, and evangelize new technologies; integrate them into our software architecture.

Develop proof of concepts to demonstrate new technologies; produce guidance documentation and provide hands-on 1:1 training to developers as needed.

Provide technical assistance to various software delivery teams as needed.

Collaborate with internal and external experts to establish and improve DevSecOps, SRE, IaC, and Networking architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Java framework and microservices architecture using Spring Boot.
• Experience in building and maintaining Single Page Applications using React and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and architectural trends.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience building cloud-native software on Azure.
• Proficiency in database technologies (MongoDB NoSQL, Snowflake).
• Experience in high-quality software delivery with continuous refactoring, TDD, automated test suites, and CI/CD tools for both Java and client-side JavaScript components (Azure DevOps knowledge preferred).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Development with at least 14 years of relevant experience.
