We are looking for an electrical engineer with experience in a wide range of building types. A self-starter with good communication skills is essential. Self-discipline, willingness to learn, and flexibility required. This is a hybrid position out of one of our offices in the Chicagoland area.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop electrical systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and engineering standards.
2. Utilize AutoCAD to prepare and revise electrical drawings and schematics.
3. Collaborate with the MEP team to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall project designs.
4. Design and oversee the installation of power distribution systems.
5. Develop fire alarm systems and ensure their compliance with safety regulations.
6. Conduct voltage drop, load flow, and short circuit analysis.
7. Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the design, implementation, or post-implementation phases.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Experience in electrical design engineering.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
