Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with expertise in public works projects to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of various civil engineering projects that contribute to the betterment of public infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design:
Lead the planning and design phases of public works projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to create detailed engineering plans and drawings.
Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to inform project design decisions.
Technical Expertise:

Apply advanced civil engineering principles to address complex design challenges and provide innovative solutions.
Perform structural analysis and design calculations to ensure structural integrity and safety.

Public Works Knowledge:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of public works projects, including roads, bridges, water supply and drainage systems, and other municipal infrastructure.
Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of local, state, and federal regulations and codes related to public works projects.
Ensure all projects adhere to relevant permitting and compliance requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and government agencies, to facilitate project coordination and seamless execution.
Effectively communicate project updates, timelines, and technical information to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Budget and Resource Management:
Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
Must have PE or ability to obtain one within 6 months
3+ years of experience in civil engineering and public works projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards
