Description
TEKsystems is looking for a Conferencing Services Technician to assist with the upgrade and implementation of conference room technology across their Lake County offices. The Conferencing Service Technician will assist with planning the operational and installation activities for AV. This will include coordinating with internal IT teams, facilities, business clients and vendors to facilitate the successful installation for new room deployments.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge installing AV systems, coordinating with vendors, and tracking / communicating implementation status to ensure successful implementation. Knowledge of Cisco Video Conferencing hardware (MX, SX and Room), as well as, registering and deploying video conferencing end point in a Cisco environment using Cisco Control Hub is a plus. Candidates will utilize existing standards and design templates to facilitate the build, installation and testing.
Plan the operational and installation activities for AV
Lead larger, more complex technology deployments in support of conference room management following the standards of technology deployment projects
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Follow Best Practices and identify process improvements
Lead cross IT initiatives to assure successful AV experiences as they relate to new room deployments
Champion change and innovation. Requires global perspective on making decisions
Adhere to established policies. Provide all related quality deliverables determined by QA practices
Work with local site facilities to scope out and execute the full AV installation.
Act as a liaison between IT and clients to assure successful implementation of technology deployment projects. Serve as a source of information to IT organization and clients on all projects within realm of responsibility
Deliver all technology deployment projects within scope, on-time and within budget
Act as SME, and as part of a team, responsible for implementation, operation, troubleshooting and vendor escalation of AV equipment, including conference AV and unified communication systems
Liaison company standards between architect, vendors, and stakeholders, making and approving substitutions where applicable
Work cross functionally between IT teams to assure successful conferencing experience
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Provide regular updates to stakeholders and users of conference spaces around upcoming changes, downtime, and training opportunities as related to AV
Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to requirements
Establish and foster relationships with appropriate internal partners, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes integrators and facilities.
Identifying risks and forming contingency plans around conference room deployments and upgrades
