Required: Required: Experience in PV Solar, Substation, or Battery Energy Storage Systems:

Our dynamic and innovative team is looking for a Permanent Senior SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Engineer who will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA systems. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our control systems and network interfaces. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in SCADA systems, with a strong background in engineering and a deep understanding of industrial control systems, data acquisition, and networking. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, the ability to solve complex problems, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain SCADA systems to meet organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and integrate SCADA systems into existing infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement SCADA system standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure system integrity and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering staff and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot complex SCADA system issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Train team members and end users on SCADA system operations and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in SCADA technology and make recommendations for system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of system expansion projects.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in SCADA system design and implementation.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
  • Proven experience in solar and substation environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, data acquisition, and networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of SCADA software and hardware, including PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A continuous learner who stays up-to-date with the latest developments in SCADA technology.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
