Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer
Overview:
-As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational efficiency and driving productivity improvements, including developing and maintaining accurate engineered standards, defining and upholding "Best Methods" across job functions, and supporting business objectives through needs assessments and project implementations.
-You'll mentor and guide less experienced team members.
-The position is at our San Bernardino, CA Distribution Center.
-A Day In The Life
oLead and execute the development and maintenance of accurate and effective engineered standards through time and frequency studies.
oDefine and maintain "Best Methods" for all job functions including training of management and hourly workforce on productivity and work methods.
oSupport business objectives and expense and throughput improvement initiatives through needs assessment, work methods flow analysis, recommendations and project implementation.
oUse appropriate project management tools to plan, develop, and coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and deliver quantifiable results.
oTest new concepts to improve the flow and setup in the distribution centers.
oSupport the design and implementation of material handling equipment incorporated into existing, new and expanded network buildings.
oSupport capital projects when required with work sampling, cost justification (Return on Investment), and cost/benefit analyses.
oProvide guidance to less senior engineers and be versed at team education, training and facilitation of engineering principles.
oAssist in management of the productivity clerical team.
oYou'll Come With Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
-Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in projects related to process design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction and project implementation
-Experience with work measurement methodologies and tools with an emphasis on time study expertise
-Experience with Standard Data and Predetermined Time Systems (such as MTM, MOST)
-Experience in best methods development and implementation
-Experience with productivity tracking, data collection systems
-Proficiency using SQL, R, or Python for coding and executing complex data analysis, including querying, manipulating, and transforming large datasets to generate actionable insights.
-Experience in the maintenance of a management observation and accountability program
-Manhattan Associates Supply Chain suite preferred
-Dematic WCS functionality preferred
-Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
