This role will be hybrid onsite in Newport Beach, CA

A leading organization is seeking a talented Data Architect to drive the future of data architecture and enable data-driven success. This role sits within the Enterprise Customer & Third-Party Data vertical and plays a key role in accelerating data initiatives that support Customer Experience (CX), Operational Efficiency, Marketing, Sales & Distribution use cases.

Join a highly collaborative and innovative team that includes scrum masters, data engineers, Data, AI, Governance, and QA professionals.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days in the office, increasing to up to 4 days post-hire.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Architect and design data engineering solutions that align with enterprise data strategy and business needs.
  • Develop, own, and manage data architecture, data models, and data pipelines for Customer and Third-Party data verticals.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and performant, enabling effective data-driven decision-making.
  • Translate data needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals into effective data solutions.
  • Ensure new features integrate with existing structures, providing a consistent data view.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data flows, and data models to facilitate knowledge transfer and compliance.
  • Guide the adoption and maturation of Cloud technologies (AWS, Snowflake, etc.), leveraging industry best practices in data warehouse architecture and modeling.
  • Collaborate with governance teams to establish policies for data usage, quality, and security, particularly for regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Act as an influential leader, driving key business outcomes through strategic thinking and strong stakeholder management.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (Master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data domains (Customer, Product, Supplier, Vendor, Location, or similar).
  • 10+ years of experience delivering cloud-based modern data engineering solutions using Snowflake or similar platforms.
  • Expertise in data modeling, multi-dimensional data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with deep knowledge of database objects (stored procedures, materialized views).
  • Proven success in implementing data architecture patterns using best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) discipline and fundamentals.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills-both written and verbal.
  • Team-oriented approach, collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex data solutions.

  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Expertise in Customer and/or Third-Party data management solution architecture.
  • Strong background in cloud and hybrid data architectures.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO) CI/CD and AWS technologies.
  • Proficiency in automation, orchestration, and scripting within data environments.
  • Understanding of data catalogs, glossary, data quality, and effective data governance.
  • Experience operating within complex data systems.
  • Financial services or insurance industry knowledge.
Technical Skills
Must Have
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced SQL and database objects (stored procedures, materialized views).
  • 10+ years of experience delivering cloud-based data engineering solutions using Snowflake or similar platforms.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data domains (Customer, Product, Supplier, Vendor, Location, etc.).
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-wide MDM solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in data modeling, multi-dimensional warehousing, and ETL/ELT.
  • Successful implementation of data architecture patterns using best practices.
  • Solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) fundamentals.
Nice to Have
