Data Operations Manager
Summary
Oversee the daily operations of our client s teams, managing multiple projects that run simultaneously.
Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of individual team members by providing coaching through listening and timely feedback.
  • Set challenging yet attainable goals for team members and manage their performance including requesting, steering, managing, and monitoring team members work efforts and keeping their skillsets current.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for areas of responsibility to achieve SLAs and uptime requirements.
  • Participate in the budget process and maintain budgetary awareness.
  • Review risks and their impact on the business and recommend mitigation strategies and options for consideration.
  • Maintain audit strength at all times to remain ready for internal and external audit authorities including consulting with teams and building/maintaining self-managed data stores.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in management, supervisory, or a team lead capacity; leading teams that supported database systems on-premise and Cloud including:
    • Informatica Cloud;
    • Snowflake including masking practices and data sharing;
    • Postgres/Dynamo/Azure/AWS Cloud offerings including hybrid alternatives and vulnerability management techniques;
    • Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Mainframe with DB2;
    • Encryption software;
    • Power BI Fabric;
    • Windows Server and Unix operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Informatica, Power BI, MDM, and ETL products, as well as a general understanding of AWS VPC environments including operating systems and serverless technology.
  • Knowledge of Information Security Best Practices, CIS Benchmarks, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Experience working in an environment that follows strict management changes.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
