RESOURCE QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor s degree, or postgraduate degree, in engineering, computer science, or related field

  • Must have Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator. - Certification must be issued by Red Hat and include the resource s valid certification number.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Red Hat system administrator.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.

SCOPE OF WORK

Resource shall be responsible for the following:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across

development, testing, and production environments.

  • Performing system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure

compliance with industry standards.

  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and

optimize efficiency.

  • Implementing automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline system

administration tasks.

  • Configuring and maintaining Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ecosystem tools.
  • Collaborating with security teams to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and comply with security policies.
  • Maintaining and optimizing storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Supporting application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linux-based

deployments.

  • Maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting

guides.

  • Participating in on-call support and incident resolution activities as required.
  • Setup Network File Server (NFS) and mount points.
  • Configuring Chron jobs for both systems and applications.
