CNC Programmer (ONSITE- DayShift)

CNC programming + Mastercam experience is required.
Day shift - flexible and can start between 6am-9am - needs to work 8 hours per day/40 hours a week
Please note that this is a 12 to 18-month contract position.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or higher
- 5 years or more experience in CNC and Manual machine operation including programming, setup, and operation.
- Proficiency in CNC software for designing prototypes, layouts, and schematics (YASNAC, Prototrak, Mastercam, or similar).
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with an ability to troubleshoot prototype failures and suggest improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, effectively communicating with engineers and research teams.
- Knowledge of materials handling, including precise weighing and measuring of ingredients or chemicals.
- Hands-on experience with CNC Control Systems including YASNAC, Prototrak, and Mastercam.
Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prototype Machinist to join our team. The Prototype Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, manual machinery, and tools to fabricate prototype parts from various materials based on design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs a wide variety of research and/or development engineering or scientific support, laboratory tasks and/or experiments, ensuring accurate and reliable data is collected.
- Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of research instruments to ensure they are functioning accurately for experiments and data collection.
- Prepare and mix various media, chemicals, or materials required for research and development experiments according to specific guidelines.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records to comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist with in-process testing to verify that all project specifications are met, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the research and development work.
- Use CAD software and CNC machines to assist with prototype design, layout methodologies, and physical representations. Support the creation and modification of design prototypes based on input from R&D engineers.
- Work with development engineers to create, test, and refine prototypes and models, troubleshooting failures and proposing design or process changes to improve functionality, manufacturability, and reusability.
