Electrical CAD Designer
Title: Electrical CAD Designer
Location: Omaha, Nebraska 68124
Rate: $30/hr. to $37/hr.
Job Description:
Preference will be given to candidates with power and controls CAD experience within the utility industry related to the design and installation of pipelines, compressor stations and process equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and control panel designs using AutoCAD.
Support design work for natural gas facilities (compressor stations, metering stations, pipelines).
Collaborate with engineers and field teams to translate project requirements into technical plans.
Incorporate redlines and revisions, select materials, and assist in solving electrical design issues.
Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Associate s degree in design/CAD tech with 3+ years of CAD experience in the utility industry.
Preference for candidates with power and controls CAD experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel required; BlueBeam and ADDA certification preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Valid driver s license and ability to travel to job sites.
