You will report to the Graphic Design Manager.

This is an estimated 30-month Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do:


  • Develop Graphics scope/program and lead implementation of design intent as a member of the project design team and support adherence to established project strategies, schedules, and budgets
  • Support Environmental Graphic Design in collaboration with other disciplines, Creative, Show/Ride, Design & Production, and Operating partners
  • Support implementation of project goals/objectives through problem-solving and development of Graphic design solutions
  • Answer questions during the sign construction bid process and respond to and resolve field issues and questions
  • May assist in developing scopes of work and soft cost design estimates for attraction-level work
  • Monitor performance of the design team against the project design schedule, budget, and earned value
  • Provide technical direction to in-house designers and to Design Services consultants
  • Lead a small team of designers in the design of environmental graphics for various projects
  • May direct consultants to whom the design is outsourced for WDI projects
  • Coordinate and communicate design issues with project Lead, Principal, or Graphic Designer Manager
  • Interact and communicate with the project team as the discipline lead or key department representative
  • Expected to influence the design of fairly complex projects in all project matters


Required Qualifications & Skills:


  • 7 years in Environmental Graphic Design practice preferred
  • 2 years leading a team of designers in the design of environmental graphics/signage and the creation of contract documents for fabrication
  • Construction phase experience, including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections
  • Proficient in understanding Sign Code requirements
  • Strong Proficiency in Adobe Suite, with a particular focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, and CADTools
  • Familiarity with BIM standards
  • Proficient in understanding of wayfinding systems
  • Demonstrated ability/experience with programming Graphic Signage for a wide range of facility types
  • Ability to estimate both labor and production/installation costs for Graphic signage
  • Working understanding of Contract processes
  • Working knowledge/experience with planning a Project Life Cycle
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • A valid U.S. passport is mandatory


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:


  • Proficient with signage code requirements, including but not limited to Fire, Safety, Health, and ADAG


Required Education:


  • BA/BS degree from an accredited program
