Title: Scrum Master

Location: 4 days On-site – Miramar, FL (1 day remote per week)

Contract: 6-months with high likelihood to extend

Overview:

As a Scrum Master, you’ll play a crucial role in driving the success of a multi-year initiative aimed at modernizing the reservation system for a cruise line. You’ll lead scrum ceremonies, ensure sprint readiness, and support product teams through the agile development process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Leadership: Lead scrum ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement) for multiple teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Jira & Backlog Management: Facilitate sprint planning and monitor Jira boards for healthy backlogs, ensuring stories meet acceptance criteria and are ready for delivery.
  • Release Management: Oversee release planning, regression testing, and deployments, ensuring smooth delivery of product updates and bug fixes.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product owners and engineering teams to ensure clear communication, track progress, and resolve blockers.
  • Product Support: Assist in managing product health, triaging production bugs, and prioritizing issues with the product team.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track sprint progress, product health, and delivery metrics, providing regular reports to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an agile environment, facilitating team ceremonies and managing sprint cycles.
  • Proficiency in Jira for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience with release management, including coordinating deployments and ensuring release readiness.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, capable of guiding teams through complex technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the cruise, reservation system, or similar industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
